Cycle Canada's Sunshine Coast Bicycle Touring Route - Self-Guided
Five or Six Day Schedule Available!
Cycle Canada's Sunshine Coast Touring Route is a one-week loop from Vancouver to Vancouver Island, to the Sechelt Peninsula and back to Vancouver.
This ride starts and ends in Vancouver. You will be island and penninsula hopping with the help of five ferry trips spread over the five days of riding. Ferry trip times range from 20 minutes to 1 1/2 hours and most ferry crossings are on a frequent schedule.
Riders may set their own schedule and spend time exploring British Columbia's beautiful coastal regions.
Cycle Canada's touring route is a clockwise circuit — crossing from Tsawwassen to Vancouver Island, then to the Sunshine Coast from Courtenay, and returning to the Greater Vancouver area through Horseshoe Bay.
Terrain is easy in the Fraser River delta around Vancouver and along much of the east coast of Vancouver Island. You will find some challenging sections on the Sunshine Coast.
